I'm pretty sure this is a clever KNex construction he is showing me. This was taken last spring 2005.

At the very end of the year, Spring 05, our student friend, Allie, made a mask. I wish I had another close up photo of her without the mask. Allie, we wish you well in your new school.
We researched butterflies and moths and put together this Venn diagram. This was made last spring when we had butterfly chrysalis to watch.
On a field trip to the state capitol (spring of 05)I took pictures to remind students of what we saw there.

I believe this was during one of the last days of school last June (05). The construction was a parking garage if I remember right.
In the first shot I didn't get Lowell and so I tried again. I still didn't accomplish getting his face!
In our classroom we worked very hard to complete our observations of the Painted Lady Butterflies. Here, Forrest takes a close look on the week end.
The school teacher ventures out to see students who have grown up and gone on. I love visiting with Marya to see what "art" she is up to.
Clustered in and around the tables, the group passes Social Studies flash card questions. When they don't know the answer, they throw it into the center. The cards that are in the center are the ones we go over for review.
I like this picture because you can see Eric, Hunter, Hibah, Sarah and Grace.
From this end I can see Srah,Grace, Cameron, Julian, Zoe and a little bit of Spader
These materials were hand made by me. I took facts from the social studies units and turned them into statements which included important vocabulary.
This is another one of my social studies inventions. The pyramid shaped placards are their stores. We interact with them about consumerism and try to understand production, manufacturing, transportation, and advertising.
In May 05 both lower elementary Montessori classrooms toured the Dairy on UNL campus and enjoyed some in-house ice cream. Hmmmmm
Just East of the Dairy store we took the path through the lilac gardens and found a space that looked like a play house.
Now that they are running around in and around the lilacs, Mrs. Nore has trouble getting them to come out again.
Check it out and see if you can tell what kind of a tree it is. (Mrs. Nore doesn't know)
Diana's mom is about the only one you can really see. This was the group I was with and the bridge is on the east end of the arboretum. Also it is almost time for lunch!
