Heritage Presentation on International Day brought quite a crowd even though we had two days to split up the amount of people

Pru storytelling with the group
Pru is a teacher and a dear friend of Mrs. Nore's. She comes and delights the students with her storytelling abilities.
Pru storytelling with the group
Pru volunteers each week to come to our classroom and do stories, plays and storytelling with the students. One time she even told her childhood story of when she lived on the island of Alcatraz.
Pru storytelling with the group
Students absolutely adore Pru and her storytelling. She has so many wonderful tales by Joseph Bruchac.
This group photo was taken fall 2006
Ricky had just come to our classroom and already he had flocks of friends to pose with him when he and Jammie had finished the fairy tale puzz.e.

Madelyn, Dulce and Regan show off a cooperative design
During an indoor playtime, either recess or a special end of the day time, these friends made a design from the blocks and encouraged me to take a photo.
Heritage Presentation on International Day
As part of her presentation on the traditions and cultural activities for her family, Mrs. Nore told the story of how the Nativity set had not been together for six years since the move from one house to another. The figures had been hiding out in a box in the garage for all that time.
It was so good to bring them to class to share them with students.
Many had never seen such a set close up.
Mrs. Nore brings in her Nativity for one day
Usually Mrs. Nore brings in her 'dolls Christmas' items to share her family culture with the classroom. This year she shared her special Nativity with the students.
Always time for experimenting
I captured this photo of Luta making something different out of the pipe cleaner and bead project we were working on.

Abril and Rubi love to do crafts such as this. They are very good at it too!
